Are you determined to become a strategy consultant and ready to start the job application process? Do you want to get more familiar with case interviews or are you unsure at which strategy consultant you want to start your career? Then the Consultancy Club is the right place for you!

About

The Consultancy Club seeks to assist students who are interested in a career in strategy consulting by preparing them for the job application process and introducing them to relevant firms in the industry. To thoroughly prepare you for these (challenging) interviews, the Consultancy Club offers:

• Monthly in-house training sessions at large consultancy firms
• An extensive assortment of case interview practice material
• An active group of ambitious students to train and practice with

During a monthly session, about 20 students are selected to meet at a different consultancy firm to tackle a case with feedback and supervision from experienced consultants. For these sessions, we apply a CV selection.

Who are we looking for?

Everyone with an interest in strategy consulting! Whether you are interested in online case interview material, practice sessions with other students, or participating in in-house crack-a-case sessions from consultancy firms.

This event presents a valuable opportunity to gain insight into KPMG’s advisory division, by exploring two distinct departments: Deal & Growth and Strategy & Operations – Financial Services. Additional information on each team’s responsibilities and expertise is provided below.

The event will commence with a joint presentation from both teams, followed by a case study with a team assigned to each participant on the day of the event. All participants have the opporunity to learn from the consultants and managers from both teams during the drink.

Deal & Growth

The Deal & Growth team of KPMG’s Global Strategy Group advises private equity parties and corporates on acquisitions, investments and strategic issues. For acquisitions, we help clients evaluate the attractiveness of a target. We also advise our clients on strategic issues such as entering a new market or defining their strategy. Our projects have a major impact on business operations, so we often work with investment directors and C-level executives.

Strategy & Operations – Financial Services

The Financial Sector is undergoing significant changes with shifting customer demands, stricter regulations, advancing technology, and heightened competition impacting Banks, Insurers, and Real Estate firms. Our Strategy & Operations – Financial Sector team is dedicated to aiding companies in adapting to these changes by assisting them in exploring ESG opportunities, devising and implementing strategies, redefining business models, and overseeing major transformations, ensuring that they are well-positioned for the future of the financial sector.
