New this year: The Venture Capital Cycle

Previously part of the Private Equity Cycle, this year we will be hosting the Venture Capital Cycle for the first time. This event aims to bring students in contact with venture capital firms in The Netherlands.

Are you eager to explore the fast-paced world of venture capital and discover how investors support and scale the most promising start-ups? The Venture Capital Cycle is a brand-new FSA career event that connects talented students with top-tier venture capital (VC) firms in the Netherlands. This event offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the dynamic VC landscape by meeting a diverse range of renowned VC investors. The Venture Capital Cycle consists of two parts: an External Day and an In-House Day. During the External Day, you will engage with three VC firms in an interactive setting, while the In-House Day provides the opportunity to visit the offices of one of the leading VC firms. Are you interested in experiencing what it’s like to work in venture capital, evaluating high-potential start-ups, and supporting their growth? Note: You apply for the two days separately and will be considered for each day individually by the participating firms. This means you will only participate in a specific day if you are selected by the company.

Who are we looking for?

This event is designed for ambitious students from all backgrounds in the final stage of their Bachelor or Master’s degree. An economics-related study background is not a requirement. We welcome students from all fields of study who have a strong interest in finance, start-ups, and venture capital. Fluency in Dutch is not required.

Venture Capital External Day

During the External Day, you will meet three VC firms in a dynamic and interactive setting. Through cases, workshops, and discussions, you will gain insight into how VC firms assess investment opportunities, structure deals, and support portfolio companies. This day also offers an excellent opportunity to network with industry professionals.

Venture Capital In-House Day

During the In-House Day, you will visit the offices of one of the leading VC firms. You will gain first-hand experience of their work environment, participate in cases, and have the opportunity to engage with investment professionals in an informal setting.

The Venture Capital Cycle will take place on March 12th and 13th, 2025.
