Governmental Economics Tour

Every day and every moment our governments are working on ensuring and maintaining financial stability within our complex and challenging financial system. Difficult choices have to be made and complicated issues have to be solved. From Brexit, to low interest rates and financial surveillance. Are you ready to get in touch with governmental policies and make a difference?

The aim of the Governmental Economics Tour is to illustrate dynamics and complexity within our financial system. Continuous innovations in the financial sector, like crypto currencies or fintech, pose new questions that need answering. As a country within the European Union we are dependent on the Euro and European government, but also Global developments. Recovering from the recent Financial Crisis, there are steps to be made to ensure a stable economy.

During the Governmental Economics Tour, we look into these challenges by introducing you to the organisations that contribute to the health of our financial system. You will not only visit Dutch actors, but a trip to Bruxelles is included.

Who are we looking for

This project is designed for students from all backgrounds in the final stage of their Bachelor or Master’s study, with an affinity in Economics and Finance. Fluency in Dutch is required.
