About the team and the position
You will join a highly motivated international group of best-in-class colleagues with exceptional experience in investments in energy and infrastructure assets. The Flagship Fund Investment Team has a direct impact on the long-term success of CIP and works closely with other local and global teams within CIP including the Investment Management team, Financial Analysis, and Finance.
As an Analyst, you will contribute to developing, structuring, and executing CIP’s investments globally and across various assets, including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar PV and thermal. You will work closely with a highly experienced investment team in a high-pace dynamic environment. CIP will constantly seek to challenge and inspire you while focusing on your learning and personal development. Top-performing Analysts may receive an offer to join us as full-time Associates upon graduation
Key work areas include:
- Financial modelling, valuation and structuring of investments
- Market analysis and due diligence of new investment opportunities
- Visualization and presentation of technical and financial data to stakeholders
- Working together with industrial partners and advisors
The position is part-time and based in CIP’s office in Utrecht. The workload will vary depending on the number of projects you are working on, with flexibility expected from both sides. You will be given the opportunity to influence your daily routine and schedule time off during exam periods.
The successful candidate
CIP is looking for 2nd – 3rd year BSc and 1st year MSc students in Finance, Economics, Business or any other relevant field.

- Strong analytical skills and top academic performance (top 10%)
- Strong work-ethic with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Team player with excellent written and spoken English skills
- Thriving with responsibility and displaying attention to detail
- Interest in corporate finance, strategy and M&A
- Curious and creative mindset with an ability to work independently
- Experience in Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage, although not a requirement
