Research Profile
Partners in Equity is a privately owned impact investment firm based in Amsterdam. We support funds and companies which provide solutions to the environmental crisis currently faced by society. Therefore, we build and maintain a sizeable portfolio in agriculture & food, circular economy and climate solutions.
Position
As a working student you will be part of a small team managing a substantial and growing portfolio of funds and companies. you will be an integral part of the team benefitting from a wide range of learning opportunities.
The tasks and responsibilities require strong analytical capabilities, communicative and social skills and the ability to work independently. You will work on a number of tasks depending on the priorities of the period. Below are a number of concrete examples:
- Creating a market map on a specific sector (e.g. agriculture, energy, mobility)
- Performing technical deep-dives in subsectors
- Evaluating market trends and developments
- Research and compare different impact measurement techniques
- Reviewing and analysing new investment opportunities
- Supporting internal projects and processes
Profile
The ideal working student is a self-starter, eager to take on new challenges and enjoys working in a team. It furthermore encompasses:
- Education in engineering, biology, bio- or foodtech, agriculture, climate studies
- Proficiency in working with Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven analytical skills and data-driven background
- Intrinsic interest and motivation for the impact investment space
- Ideally, prior experience in a professional environment
Requirements
- Near finalized MSc degree (minimum requirement is a completed BSc)
- Work at the office on a full-time basis (minimum of four consecutive days)
- Fluent English, ability to speak Dutch is a pre
- Availability for a minimum of three consecutive months
Working students will be compensated a fair hourly wage, in line with market practice.
