Venture Capital Cycle 2025-2026

Venture Capital Cycle 2026

Previously part of the Private Equity Cycle, this year we will be hosting the Venture Capital Cycle for the second time. This event aims to bring students in contact with venture capital firms in The Netherlands.

About

Are you eager to explore the fast-paced world of venture capital and discover how investors support and scale the most promising start-ups? The Venture Capital Cycle is a brand-new FSA career event that connects talented students with top-tier venture capital (VC) firms in the Netherlands. This event offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the dynamic VC landscape by meeting a diverse range of renowned VC investors. The Venture Capital Cycle consists of two parts: an External Day and an In-House Day. During the External Day, you will engage with three VC firms in an interactive setting, while the In-House Day provides the opportunity to visit the offices of one of the leading VC firms. Are you interested in experiencing what it’s like to work in venture capital, evaluating high-potential start-ups, and supporting their growth? Seize the opportunity by applying for this exclusive event!

Note: You apply for the two days separately and will be considered for each day individually by the participating firms. This means you will only participate in a specific day if you are selected by the company.

Who are we looking for?

This event is designed for ambitious students from all backgrounds in the final stage of their Bachelor or Master’s degree. An economics-related study background is not a requirement. We welcome students from all fields of study who have a strong interest in finance, start-ups, and venture capital. Fluency in Dutch is not required.

Application

Applications will open January 2026.

What is Venture Capital?

Venture capital (VC) is a form of private equity that focuses on investing in early-stage and high-growth start-ups. VC firms provide capital, expertise, and strategic guidance to help start-ups scale and succeed. Unlike traditional private equity, venture capital investors take higher risks in exchange for the potential of high returns from disruptive and innovative businesses.
