About Capital A

Capital A is an independently managed private equity firm that was previously active under the name ABN AMRO Participaties. Our investment team has established a longstanding track record as partnering shareholder in supporting (management teams of) companies in realising their growth ambitions. Our current portfolio consists of over 25 companies in a variety of industries and our newest fund has approximately EUR 260m committed capital for new investments.

Our approach

Our approach is investing in Dutch midmarket companies that have a strong growth outlook, either autonomous or acquisitively. We purposely have no sector focus, because we find it far more important that a company has this growth potential in combination with a high level of entrepreneurship. Our typical equity investments range between EUR 5 and 50 million and are almost always small majority or a large minority deals. We do this because our aim is to realise ambitious growth strategies together with the management teams. We facilitate this by acting as a sparring partner or assisting in a buy-and-build strategy.
